Michael Lamonsoff

Michael Lamonsoff graduated from the University of Arizona with Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts degrees. He then was accepted into the prestigious postgraduate program at Columbia University where he was awarded a scholarship for his achievements. He served in student politics and as the Editor of the student newspaper. At Columbia, he received a Masters of Arts and Masters of Education. He attended the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law where he was selected by the Honorable Justice Simone E. Chrein, Chief Magistrate of the Federal Court for the Eastern District of New York, to serve as his Student Law Clerk Intern. He also served as Student Law Clerk Intern to the United States Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York, Civil Division, serving under the then acting United States Attorney, Rudolph Guliani. Mr. Lamonsoff was hired as a Law Clerk specializing in drafting appeals for an insurance defense firm. After Law School he was an attorney/litigator at Garfinkel & Lesman, in house counsel to one of America's largest insurance companies, the American International Group. He then accepted a partnership with a large plaintiff's personal injury law firm in New York City. In 1995, Mr. Lamonsoff left the firm and founded the Law Offices of Michael S. Lamonsoff, PLLC.. His aggressive and results-based litigation style has made the Law Offices of Michael S. Lamonsoff, PLLC. one of the largest plaintiff personal injury law firms in the country. Mr. Lamonsoff has made television appearances and has been interviewed and quoted in the press regarding the firm's high profile cases. He has appeared on CNN, MSNBC, ABC, NBC, MY9, NY1, CBS, radio and cable television programs. He was asked to appear on episodes of "The Lie Detector," as well as "The People's Court". These requests had to be refused because of time constraints in running such a prestigious law firm.
